------Morning Classes------

Feri Witch Shield

Storm & Karina will share our combined knowledge of Feri Lore about the Mighty Guardians with an emphasis on embodiment. Participants will develop personal relationship with each of the Feri Guardians through in depth guided meditation and the creation of a Feri Witch's Shield.

The Feri Witch's Shield is a physical representation (talisman) of one's personal power. Each of the Guardians will offer guidance and power to your Shield. During the final session, we will empower the Shield, asking the Guardians to bless, guide and guard our work as we continue our quest for power in our daily lives/practice. The Shield empowers your work while simultaneously protecting you from influences which might deter you from your power.

Guardians and Dance

With Anaar

Morning Sessions are dedicated to the Guardians and dance. We will be approaching the Guardians primarily through Their elemental natures. Remember that this class is focused on teaching Feri, not necessarily on teaching dance. No dance experience is necessary. However, I will be pleased to teach technique that I have learned in my studies in Middle and Near Eastern dance.

Create a Tarot deck

With Michele

Mornings we will be working on creating a Tarot deck. If I get enough folks who are interested, I will also devote one session to creating a piece of guardian art. The primary medium will be collage. If you are interested in attending either of these classes start looking for images now. Old magazines, old art books, catalogs, greeting cards, postcards, and photographs are all useful. Bring more than you think you will need. If you can draw or paint, please feel free to bring whatever supplies you can carry to use those mediums as well. I do ask that you commit to attend the morning sessions until we finish the deck. How quickly that occurs depends on how many participants we get. As of now you will have to attend all the sessions in order for us to get this done. The guardian art is a standalone session.

---- Afternoon Classes -----

Self Possession

This afternoon session, facilitated by Karina, will emphasize the importance of Alignment of the Three Souls and Kala as a means of deepening our relationship to our Aumakua. We are threefold spirits with dense physical bodies, yet we have a tendency to remain "possessed" by the Talker and/or the Sticky One. Here, using discussion, journaling, artwork (no experience necessary!), guided meditation and the Feri Practices of Ha and Kala, we will explore ways in which to move out from under the enchantment of the Talker and the confusion of the Sticky One by creating Agreement between the three souls. Our goal is possession by the God Self which is a prerequisite to developing the Black Heart of Innocence as well as for any possession work one might want to do with other Gods.

The Guardians of the Iron Pentacle

With Storm Faerywolf

In this ritual trance workshop we will journey into the Inner Temples of the Iron Pentacle where we will use traditional symbols to invoke and embody the Guardians. We will ask for their guidance to help transform our inner landscapes so that we may emerge with a deeper understanding of the pentacle, our selves, and these ancient beings of great power.

The Amethyst Pentacle: An Exercise in Queer Divinity

With Storm Faerywolf

Meditation is a powerful tool that we can use to gain awareness and to live our lives more fully, but many of the tools and models employed by the main-stream religions are heterosexist, if not blatantly homophobic. The Amethyst Pentacle was created with this in mind, providing a symbolic map of some common experiences of the queer practitioner – regardless of sexual identity.

Like its iron counterpart, the Amethyst Pentacle seeks to illumine certain experiences and to show them as a healthy part of a larger whole. Each point on the pentacle (as well as the pathways in between) embodies these concepts in such a way so that we may then approach them from a place of balance and clarity, seeing our experiences (even those we might consider "negative") as necessary catalysts for transformation. We will journey in trance to each of the points on the pentacle so that we may cleanse our relationships to them and reclaim our birthright as queer spiritual beings.

Ritual form and prep class

with Anaar

My Saturday afternoon class is a ritual form and prep class. This is for the dance students who want to call the Guardians using movement for that evening's ritual. There is so much to cover that I need a separate time to devote to ritual.

Stitch n Bitch or Magical Sewing Circle

With Anaar

This session is geared toward passing on some of the stitching lore that I have learned from Cora. I will also pass on some general lore about the relationship between interlacing and magic. Some history might also be included. Throughout the class we will be working on raising mana and infusing an object with it.

Basics of etheric sight

With Anaar

We will start with small objects, moving on to ever more complicated ones. If time permits, we may examine the Triple Soul.

Hoodoo/Folk Magic/Feri Magic

With Michele

We will be doing some hands on magical work. I will be bringing most of the materials needed but I do ask that you bring a brown paper sack of type you get in most stores. A small one is fine. If you have a special pen for magical writing bring that too. You can also bring something small of significance to you, such as a good luck charm or coin, a special stone, feather, bead or amulet. You can bring a small amount of any herb or oils pertinent to your purpose as well. Each of my afternoon sessions is a stand-alone class. You do not have to commit to attend every session.
