Anaar has just realized that she will soon begin her third decade in the Craft. She first set her left foot upon the Kami-no-michi 17 years ago. Her left foot was quickly followed by her right foot. Sometimes skipping, sometimes crawling, she quickly concentrated her studies on Feri. She holds an MA in Arts and Consciousness and is author of The White Wand. Currently she holds a Grandmastership in Feri, though she is quick to point out that she still considers herself a student of the Grandmasters Victor and Cora Anderson. Storm Faerywolf is an artist, writer, poet, teacher, warlock, gay man, wise-man, and fool. Originally trained and initiated into the Bloodrose line of the F(a)eri(e) tradition, he has studied other forms of Feri in order to round out his practice. He is the author of The Stars Within the Earth, a collection of Craft poetry and spells, and is the editor of WitchEye: A Journal of Feri Uprising. Michele Jackson is a Feri Witch, artist and creator of tarot decks who discovered the Goddess via the Tarot and has loved both ever since. She is a direct initiate of the Andersons and a member of Mandorla, a group practicing the craft as taught by Victor and Cora Anderson in the 80's and 90's. She lives in Southern California with her partner of 30 years.
Karina is a Feri Initiate, tracing lineage back to the Andersons, a teacher, ritual performance artist, writer and founder of the BlackHeart line. Her core approach to Feri is an ecstatic practice thorough which she perceives Feri as "Much more than something we do, but something we become and embody." She holds a degree from Mount Holyoke College and works from home. She and her children live in the gentle rolling hills of New England.
As someone who experiences Feri as an Embodied Tradition, it doesn't ring true to speak of the Guardians as only existing outside of our Selves. When invoking the Guardians, we call upon the Seventh who is the Center and Circumference of All. Who/What we are invoking is the Self in Alignment. Each of us, individually, is the Seventh Guardian. At its core, this practice means we are, every one of us, the Center and the Circumference of All the Elements of Life. This is not metaphor or allegory or another tricky Feri paradox!
We not only have but are the Circumference and the Center of the Elements of Life. As such, we are the presence of the Mighty Ones. A part of our Work is to mediate these powerful forces into the world(s), which is why Feri places such unrelenting emphasis on the Alignment of the Three Souls, Self-Purification/Kala and the precise balancing of the Iron and Pearl Pentacles. These practices, while certainly helping us become healthier people, are just as importantly, to help us become Healthy Priests capable of accomplishing the Work of healing the Self and, by extension, the Worlds.
My intention as a teacher at Feri Camp is to assist in creating a container wherein the seeker can experience the Wild, Vast and Unbridled Powers of the Guardians of Elements of Life in a way that is safe, joyous, liberating, expansive and embodied. I hope to lead Feri Campers to experience first hand Their wisdom and compassion, their strange love and their illimitable desire to see humans manifest our divinity. More than
making polite introductions between Seekers and Guardians, I hope to help bridge the gap between Self and Other. For we not only have Guardians, we Are Guardians. We are the Mirror of Creation and the Reflection.
Together, with Anaar, Storm and Michelle, I am committed to opening the sincere seeker up to experiencing the vast Starry Beings.
