The Self

When we reconnect with our true home — an infinite source of creativity, inspiration and wisdom — and finally feel free to be who we truly are.

Here we are on planet Earth, a place we call home, but deep inside we feel lonely here. Lost in a hostile environment, we fight daily challenges and circumstances like battles, searching for meaning in a world that feels harsh and dense. Caught up in busy daily schedules and survival mode, we tend to become emotionally drained, anxious or even depressed over time. All the events happening in the world might get our full attention, and this outer noise might lead us astray from asking questions we've always carried inside but never faced deeply enough: Who am I? What do I really want? Am I happy and at peace with myself?

The little self

If we don't find the time and desire to stop for a while, reflect and answer these fundamental questions, we risk living our lives mostly in the role of the “little self”, as I call it: the small, limited version of ourselves that lacks and struggles. Living in this state of being means living a life at its lowest potential, never finding the true life purpose that would make us feel genuinely happy and of service to others.

Being on this frequency, what I personally did was sabotage my own productive actions: starting a business, changing personal habits, trying out new things, taking risks. At times, when my desire got stronger and I pushed myself a little bit more toward a goal by taking some small actions, it automatically triggered mind chatter with thoughts like: “Who do you think you are?”, “You're not good enough, not talented enough”, “You have nothing special to share”, “Don't even try, it won't work anyway”, “Don't do it, it's not safe. What if you fail?”, “What will other people think of you?”

These thoughts triggered within me an automatic emotional response in the form of fear, specifically the fear of failure or of the possible negative consequences of the action taken. As a result, I was immediately thrown into a state of action paralysis, an inability to act. In other words, I just fully stopped doing the things I desired, abandoning the idea itself and discarding any motivation around it.

At first, everything was fine: I had the desire and the enthusiasm to manifest an idea. But with time, this energy was suppressed, neutralized before it could take form in physical reality. There was clearly something stopping me, and it was only during the creation of Emanation Art that I finally found out what that was and how to set myself free. (I will dedicate a separate reflection article to cover the solution in detail, so let's keep the mystery for now.) In conclusion, I can say that while having this “little self” experience, my perception was very limited: I saw only a small bandwidth of possibilities and solutions in my daily life, and my dominant feelings were fear, anxiety and insecurity.

By analysing more deeply what happened to me in this lower, “little self” state of being, I became aware that it felt like being stuck in a loop or hitting an invisible wall and bouncing back. So I started digging into it and searched for answers in books and video trainings by well-known mentors on self-development and growth. Although all the ideas I received from them were priceless and contributed enormously to my self-discovery and awareness, there was still a missing puzzle piece, a hidden component I had yet to discover to put everything into place, and that component was my personal experience.

Over time, I came to the conclusion that if I hit an invisible wall and can't get through, it means I need to change the strategy and move myself “into the invisible”, a non-physical plane, so I could approach it on the same frequency. On my journey to do that, I felt the urgency to turn off the noise of the outside world. I stopped using social media. I stopped watching the news. I stopped getting involved in distractions or in communication with people who just didn't resonate with my core. For the first time in my life, I turned my awareness inward, and then something truly magical started to happen.

The Self

In moments of deep relaxation and silence, I closed my eyes, breathed in and out, kept myself focused, curious and cheerful, and started to tap into another world, one that deeply changed my perception of myself and of the physical world in general. I define it as a non-physical plane where we as human beings can interact with a Higher Intelligence, what some might call the Higher Self or Creative Energy, a force that has the power to create.

By tapping into it, I felt for the first time a home-feeling space, where the love and support were so warm and cozy it just brought me to tears. It's challenging to put this experience into words, but as I was writing this paragraph, a scene flashed into my mind:

A winter storm, the cold biting, the dark falling early, snow up to your knees. Your house stands deep in the woods, and the only way to reach it is on foot. You are exhausted from the long road home, but then you arrive. You push the door open, step inside, and it all reaches you at once: the warmth on your frozen face, the familiar voices of your family, their joy at seeing you back, their arms wrapping around you tight. Later you sit by the fireplace with a cup of your favorite drink warming your hands, knowing with complete certainty that whatever is happening outside, you, in this exact moment, are in the safest place in the world. A place where you are happy and loved exactly as you are, with all your imperfections.

In this higher state I felt completely free, safe and at peace. My perception of myself expanded: I felt I was part of something infinitely creative and gained full confidence in The Path I had chosen and in my ability to move energy into form. This awakened state is what I call The Self.

Here we begin to feel inside us a spark of divine energy, a small yet potent fire that is always there for us, warming our hearts when we feel hurt and inspiring us to move on regardless of the wounds we receive in the outer world. It is a voice of wisdom in our mind, a mentor that is always there to guide us out of desperate thoughts and action paralysis. Fears fade like shadows in the daylight. Doubts and worries dissipate like sand in water.

Now we become aware that we have finally broken that invisible wall that had kept us prisoners of the “little self” for so long. Now we know that there is so much more yet to discover about ourselves, to experience and to give. Now we are able to manifest our free will in an infinite number of ways. Now we recover our power to create our own reality. Now we start to live our lives in harmony with this truth: if you want the darkness to disappear, you don't have to fight it. You simply invite the light to come in. And that light is the higher version of You, The Self.

Sometimes the world pulls us away from ourselves and we tend to forget this truth.
The Self Collection exists for exactly those moments, created as a reminder that You Are The Light.
